Shadow Box Shrine Ornaments Tutorial

(Keep in mind these pieces can be made for ANY theme using the other Shadow Box Kit styles! I can definitely see a little Halloween gal in the Gothic Arch with flying bats or Alice in Wonderland in the Pocket Watch and the list goes on!)

From Stephanie:

"Hello and welcome! My name is Stephanie Jones Rubiano and I will be your hostess during your stay. Because I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Marine Biology from Texas A&M at Galveston, I feel eminently qualified to share some artistic ideas with you. If you don't feel that this degree which involves studying life in the ocean is qualification enough, I have also won awards at nationally-ranked juried art festivals and have had work published in books and magazines. Oh, and I have been teaching live art workshops at stores, national art retreats and in my own studio for 17 years, so maybe my commensurate experience will count for something! I do love teaching and look forward to this new online adventure. Thank you for being here and I look forward to "meeting" you in the virtual world!

Inspiration by Kim Collister!

From Kim: "I can't tell you how much fun I had making one of the New ATC Cottage Houses at Retro Cafe. I basically used everything from my scrap box. Something I really love about these little cottages is how versatile they are. They are made for the ATC Coins and Cards, in the fenced area and inside, and they hold a LOT!But guess what? They also make a very creative business card holder (my square Moo Cards fit perfectly in the fenced area and more storage inside. And the house can hold markers, brushes and or pens too.

Just a little hint: Valentine's Day is around the corner and there is a Cottage with a Heart window! (I bet the house also holds chocolate) and Valentine ATC's."

Inspiration by Linda Cain!

From Linda: "Check it out people! I spent my weekend playing with some Retro Cafe Art Gallery products. Way too much fun!!! This is just one of the ATC Cottage House kits that hold coins and cards, or take the top off, and it houses your brushes and tools. The embossed metal roof is highlighted with some Metallique. I used Fresco Paints, papers and heat-embossed stamped images to adorn the pieces. Add more cutouts with paint and the possibilities are endless."

New Felt Lace Heart Banner Kits

I think second to Halloween, my next favorite art holiday is Valentine's Day! I'm a sucker for all the reds, pinks, and glitter! And of course HEARTS!!!

I've been in search of banners for our large fireplace for a few years now. Everything in the store was 6 feet or smaller and I needed MORE. So we finally made our own and I'm excited to offer them to you too! The felt hearts are super easy to string on to the twine and you can alter the hearts or leave them as is! I hope you like them! We had a blast making ours. You may recognize some of the other art pieces on the mantel too.
