Design Team Work

I have more fantastic Design Team art to share with you! For the above journal page, Design Team Member Bianca Mandity used the following stencils: Outlaw, Blobz, Small Bulge Holes. For the journal page below Bianca used: Hello Deer, Small Gradone, and Fancy ATC Frame 1 as a stencil! She also added a moustache cut-out to the deer and a vintage carnival ticket to one of the pages. I love how colorful these 2 pages are!

This sweet pieces is by Design Team Member Gerri Herbst using the Pink Dresden Doilie and the Best Friends xoxo Collage Sheet. I adore how frilly and pink this piece is!

I also have this cool shrine to share with you created by Design Team Member Jennifer Ingle using the Elegant Winged Heart Milagro Shrine Kit, Classic Brass Crown, Tim Holtz Corked Vials, Tim Holtz Trinket Pins, Steampunk Parts Collage Sheet, Marth Stewart Glitter, and a Frozen Charlotte. The glittery fire is my favorite part! And check out the cool crackle on the wings!

Teri Calia's Shrines

I have some FANTASTIC pieces to share with you from guest designer Teri Calia! For the gorgeous shrine above, Teri used the MEGA Circle Shrine Kit, Cross Shrine Trinkets, Acrylic Hand Tags, and the Full of Grace Collage Sheet. I LOVE how she brilliantly used the Cross Shrine Trinkets as "feet" on the shrine. The MEGA Circle Shrine can stand on it's own, but the crosses really add to the piece!

For this next piece, Teri used the Large Cigar box Shrine Kit and the Full of Grace Collage Sheet. She replaced the lid with this cool frame. The back of the Cigar Box is covered with tissue paper and paint. Ah, so cool. Thanks for the AWESOME samples Teri! I hope these pieces inspire you to participate in the Shrine Kit Contest going on right now! There will be 2 random number $50 Retro Cafe Art Gallery Gift Certificates and 2 $50 certificates through voting for a total of $200!

And now for some wonderful inspiration, I have two fantastic design team projects to share with you! The first is from Design Team Member Gerri Herbst. Gerri used the Exquisite Shrine Kit and oodles of fantastic glitter for her project. For the lustrous body of the shrine, Gerri first covered it with gesso, and the coated it with ModPodge and various Martha Stewart glitters!

The image is from the Best Friends xoxo Collage Sheet.

This Exquisite Shrine sparkles and shines with creativity, just like Gerri. I love it!

Next up, Jennifer Ingle created this amazing Steampunk Doll using the Small Elevated Shrine Kit. The main body of the shrine and legs were covered with Tim Holtz Nostalgic Tissue Tape and the masonite gears were altered by adding foil leafing in gold, copper, and bronze!

Inside the body you can see part of the Steampunk Parts Collage Sheet and some Tim Holtz Game Spinners.

This piece is stunning Jennifer. You did amazing things with the Small Elevating Shrine Kit!

So are you inspired to get your shrine on yet? Send in those entries early so you don't forget! I can't wait to see what you come up with. I started the Facebook album off with some fun samples, so check that out too!

I have more fantastic Design Team work to show you! The above piece is by Gerri Herbst. Gerri incorporated the Fancy Frame 2 ATC Frame and a sweet image from the Best Friends xoxo Collage Sheet into her piece. I love the gorgeous purples!

Gerri also created the piece above using the Fancy Frame 3 ATC Frame and another image from the Best Friends xoxo Collage Sheet! Check out that awesome crackle finish on the frame!

And here is another fantastic journal page by Bianca Mandity using several Coffee Break Design Stencils including Welcome (I love how she used the stencil to illustrate "Off with Her Head"), Optical, and Optiswirl.

Bianca also put together a video, so you could see the evolution of her page. It's cool seeing how she builds her layers!
