Tattoo Fun Today!

Back in September I went to California to visit two wonderful art friends for the first time, and while there I got this beautiful butterfly tattoo. Well, today I went to get a tiny area on my Cali butterfly touched up where the black came off when it scabbed, and he decided to go over all the black, then he decided to brighten up the red, then the orange, and before I knew it he re-did the ENTIRE thing!!!! No one told me I'd have to go through the whole thing twice!!!! LOL!!!!
I have other butterflies, but this one is by far my favorite! Even if I had to suffer twice!

My Art Room

Hey everyone!! A while back someone wanted to see pictures of my art room, but it was MUCH too messy. Well, I have friends coming over so I cleaned. It's not perfect, but it's about as good as it gets, and will be a wreck again next time I create :).

I would be lost without my cabinets! They hide all my paint, mediums, and other tools. They were a boring white so I painted the doors before putting them together. And underneath is my original Claudine Hellmuth Poppet, which I cherish (THANK YOU AGAIN Chel from ZNE for getting me this wonderful gift!)

Public Reception!

Yesterday was the public reception for the Wild Women Art Show! I had a great time and several of my friends joined me. Kim L. and Kim C. came

and brought me some beautiful flowers.

Two of my good friends Diana and Bev, from the Indiana altered art group also came.

And of course, my honey Chris was such a tropper, staying the whole time.

I sold a few pieces last night, and the show is up until May 27th so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Whatever doesn't sell will find it's way to EBay I'm sure.

Friends and Family Reception

This Saturday was the friends and family reception for the Women's Art Show. Here I am with three of my friends. From top to bottom Annie, Bianca, and Becca (with awesome new red hair)! Next Saturday is the public reception!

Pendants!

So I FINALLY had some time to play in my studio!!! I created these soldered pendants tonight. My favorite are the itty bitty ones, and the one that has a cigar label tucked between the glass. Some of these will be samples for my upcoming workshop.

Tomorrow is the first opening for the gallery show I'm in and I'm ecstatic!

ATC Nude Swap!

Today we had our Indiana Altered Arts Yahoo group nude ATC swap. Lucky for you, the cards were nude, not us! But we put on our party hats for Diana's Birthday which is tomorrow!!!!

The theme for next month is "Chocolate". I think I'll go eat some for inspiration :).

Sunbathing

I just snapped this picture of my mini doberman and had to share. He's discovered the skylight in our family room and has been following it around all day!!!! Ahh.., I wish I could lay in the sun all day!!!

Gallery Show

Hi everyone! I've been working hard to put together some pieces for an upcoming gallery show I'm participating in. It's May 5th and 12th (two openings) from 6-9 at the Studio School and Gallery. I'll also be teaching a few workshops there June/July.
