Back From Hawaii!

Hi! I got back last night from a week in Hawaii, which is why I've been so quiet. The week before that I was getting ready. While I took over 160 photos, here are a few of my favorites and a little peek into what the week held! Right now, I feel as though I've been hit by a truck after the long flights. It takes 11 hours in the air to get to Hawaii from Indianapolis, not to mention the layovers, arriving to the airport early, etc. But I'll feel great in a day or two and we had a wonderful time while there.

We stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, right on Waikiki beach in Honolulu. Directly in back of the hotel was a man-made lagoon, and behind that the ocean. The air smelled wonderful!
This is the view from our balcony, at dusk. What a view!
Sunset on the beach.
This is how I spent most of my mornings. Starbucks, fresh pineapple, and Breaking Dawn, the last book in the Twilight series. I finished the book and it was awesome! I'm so sad it's the end of the series though.
And this is how I spent the rest of the morning!
Christopher and I.
Of course you have to wear a flower in your hair when in Hawaii!
One of my favorite things we did was Parasailing! 500 feet in the air over the ocean! (Please note, this is not us in the picture, rather our boat mates. I'll have pictures of us soon after I develop the roll of film the captain shot).
My other favorite thing was snorkeling at Hanauma Bay. We say SO many beautiful fish, crabs, sea urchins, corals, and so much more!
We also braved a bus trip to China town. This is a peek at one of the markets. Ever watch Andrew Zimmern on "Bizarre Foods" on the Travel Channel? Yep, he was there a while back!
We saw the same fish while snorkeling. So much prettier then!
Of course on the Waikiki strip there was plenty of shopping! I LOVED this pink knight that was on display.
I loved this display too!
Before we left, our little min pin tried to disguise himself and sneek into the suitcase. It didn't work so instead he spent the week with his auntie Bianca:).

So that is the very short version! If you want to see all 160+ photos, you can see them HERE on Picasa.
P.S. all orders that were placed at Retro Cafe Art Gallery during my absence went out the door today!
Once I catch up I'll be posting lots of new goodies on the site. Mahalo!
