I'm Leaving On a Jet Plane....

That's right! I'm leaving for California tomorrow to go to the awesome ZNE Convention! I'll be gone August 21st - August 25th and will have plenty of pictures to post when I return. Retro Cafe' Art Gallery will also have a vendor table on Sunday. I wish everyone coming to this super event happy and safe travels! I'm so excited to see old friends and meet new ones!

Art in the New Somerset Studio Magazine

I just received the new Somerset Studio Sept./Oct. issue, and I have this piece on page 104. They left out the hanger, but you get the idea :). Of course I was very excited and honored. I hope you'll check it out!

Juicy Pens Thirsty Paper....

....is the new book by my favorite author SARK! You can get your copy HERE. I've not read this book yet, but if it's as delightful and inspiring as SARK's other books, you will not be disappointed. I have them all, and have been lucky enough to meet SARK a few times and participate in a wonderful retreat two years ago. I will be seeing SARK again in a little over a week for "Breakfast with SARK" in Pleasanton California. If you are a creative being, you will be inspired to stretch your dreams to the limit after reading her books. This book will also be great for those of you who journal.

More New Goodies

Check out the new goodies at Retro Cafe' Art Gallery! I ADORE the bird trinkets! So much fun. And the clear acrylic inchie blanks are a must. SEE ALL THE NEW STUFF HERE! I also re-stocked several items.

Altered CDs

I had so much fun creating these altered CDs for my next Indiana Altered Arts swap! My favorite part was creating the backgrounds. I traced the CD on water color paper, then went to town. I also drilled holes in some of them and strung wire over the bird images to make it appear as though they were caged :). I used the Beautiful Birds 3 collage sheet for these.

New Goodies

Hey everyone! I just added lots of fun new goodies to the store!

These 1" typewriter key style frames are my favorite! Best of all you can use a 1" circle punch to punch your images and they fit perfectly! My bottle cap collage sheets are just the right size.





These house charms aren't completely new, but they sold out fast and are back...
