Captured Angel Ornaments and More‏

New Goodies!

Happy Saturday Everyone! This week we have glass domes in three fabulous styles plus several coordinating goodies. I just had to have some Houses and Angels to fit inside! The TINY Primitive Angels are ADORABLE!
In addition to the new goods, the general Christmas Section has over 600 fabulous goodies (all on sale) and our Coffee Break Design Christmas Section is sure to inspire.

Art Time!
When I saw the new Glass Domes I was in love! And I just had to have some Little Houses and Angels to fit inside. I love that the domes can be used as ornaments or pieces to sit on a mantel or shelf.

This was a really fast and fun project. First, I painted all of my Masonite pieces and the chipboard bottom of my Bell Ornament with acrylic paint. I added a bit of vintage sheet music to the angel for her dress.

Once my paint was dry, I distressed my edges and added some detail to my Angel's dress.

The Tiny Angels are SO cute!

It's a good idea to arrange your pieces and then try out the glass top BEFORE gluing your pieces down. The sides flare, so you will want to make sure it all fits. I glued my pieces down with E6000.

Once my glue was dry, I added Glitter Snow with a paint brush. I just LOVE this stuff. It's about the consistency of toothpaste (maybe a bit lighter in weight) and is very easy to manage. I also added a bit to my tree and houses. The houses look adorable with their "snow drifts".

Finally I attached my glass top a added a tinsel bow, which can also second as an ornament hanger. Tip: Obviously you can't actually "tie" a bow with the wire. Form a bow by bending the wire, and then twist the loops around each other. I love my sweet Bell Ornament!
