Cupcakes and Paramore

Remember in a post a few weeks ago I talked about that darling cupcake place that was closed? I said I would be back, and so I went and ate cupcakes! I had Strawberry and my friend Kim had Chocolate with cream cheese frosting.

I loved it so much I gave mine a kiss!

Kim enjoyed hers too!

After cupcakes we headed to the Paramore concert. We were able to walk to the concert from Kim's place on the canal downtown.

By the time Paramore came on, it was dark and the weather had cooled off a bit.

The concert was awesome! Paramore puts on a great show!

Giveaway Winners Announced!

This morning was giveaway time! I started by writing all of the entries down on line paper. Some folks had two of three entries so writing them was a must! 4 pages worth!
Then I cut them into little strips and put them in the giant cupcake!

Without looking I pulled two winners and the winners are.....
and
I'm just "meeting" both of these ladies for the first time, but at first glance I can see they are both California girls!
(UPDATE: Rebecca picked the vintage typewriter key necklace and Francine picked the digital collage sheets!)

And just for fun, dessert from last night!

THANK YOU to all who entered the giveaway. I wish I could give you all a prize. I plan to have giveaways more frequently, so be sure to check back!

In the Newspaper!

My vintage typewriter key jewelry was in an article with photo in the Indianapolis Star newspaper on Thursday! The article was about Be Bon Vivant Boutique, one of the fabulous stores that carries my goods. The owner, Barbie is awesome. Stop on in if you are in the neighborhood. Don't you just love the white picket fence surrounding the entrance? I do!

You can read the article and see the photo online HERE.

IndySWANK, Square Rootz Deli, Jenny Elkins, and More!

Tonight was so much fun! I picked up my friend Kim (who will soon be a mommy) and we headed downtown.

First, I restocked my display at IndySWANK in Fountain Square.

This is IndySWANK's entrance. Love love.

After, we went to Square Rootz Deli, where my friend Jenny Elkins was having an art show featuring her wonderful collage work!

The Deli is really cool, and I also recognized the art of my friend Mike Altman who created some of the signage!

This is me and Kim. We wanted a belly photo! She is due October 16th and it's a girl!

And here I am with Jenny Elkins.

I took home this awesome plate by Jenny. The owners of the deli are named Jeff and Tom just like on the plate. Love love.

Later we ventured to Mass. Ave. and I was so happy to run into my friend Nancy Moore singing at Agio! She sings there every Friday from 8-10pm and she's awesome! She happened to be wearing a pair of my earrings and is the main reason my stuff is at IndySWANK :). Thanks girl!

Nancy is also in the band The Born Again Floozies. Another must see!
(she is the cool chick in the middle)

My heart almost skipped a beat when I passed this shop on the street, The Flying Cupcake. Sadly, they were closed, but I WILL be back. I've had their yummy cupcakes before at catered events but until tonight never saw the storefront. The decor is pure shabby sweetness!

These make my heart smile :).

Flavor of Fishers and Craftin Outlaws!

Yesterday was the Flavor/Art of Fishers! While my booth looks like it usually does, no big surprises, I was most impressed by the scenery behind my booth. Just look at that lush greenery! I was about ready to go camping after the show :). Thank you to all who came out and took home a Retro Cafe Art Gallery goodie!

I also wanted to share that I am most excited to be accepted to participate in the Craftin' Outlaws contemporary craft fair in Columbus OH October 16th! I first read about this show in Crafty Superstar and applied not knowing what the outcome would be. Woo hoo road trip!
